BACOLOD CITY — Two residents of this city were arrested Friday morning during a buy-bust that yielded P3.4 million in shabu in Purok Kabuhi, Barangay 10, a report of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) showed.
The suspects were identified as alias “John,” 29, an electric tricycle driver, and “Ellan,” 36, a construction worker.
Minutes before 6 a.m., “John” sold a sachet of shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover policeman.
Article continues after this advertisement“This resulted in the swift apprehension of both suspects by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU),” the BCPO report said.

Operatives also recovered 16 plastic sachets and five knot-tied plastic bags of shabu weighing about 500 grams priced at P6,800 per gram.
Article continues after this advertisementAlias “John” will be charged with violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), while alias “Ellan,” with violation of Section 26 (attempt or conspiracy), of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

CDEU agents also apprehended three siblings, who yielded P1.36 million worth of shabu, in Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan on Oct. 23; and seized a kilogram of shabu worth P6.8 million from a lone suspect in Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 12 on Oct. 17.
