'Coke Studio' fame Pakistani musician Haniya Aslam, of the band Zeb-Haniyaslotv casino, breathed her last on Sunday, August 11. The news of Haniya Aslam's death has been confirmed by her cousin and former band member, Zeb Bangash, on Instagram. Haniya reportedly died of a cardiac arrest.

In a heartbreaking post shared on Monday, August 12 morning, Zeb shared a few solo pictures of Haniya and wrote "Hanini" in the caption. Not only her Pakistani fellow artistes, Indian celebs like Swanand Kirkire, Kiran Rao and Ankur Tewari among others also expressed their grief over Haniya Aslam's demise.

Lyricist and singer Swanand Kirkire mourned the demise of Haniya. He is in shock to hear the news of her death. Kirkire shared screenshots of their last conversation. In his post, the singer wrote, ''My dearest Haniya Aslam @citrushaniya is no more. She suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away peacefully last night. We shared a special bond when we collaborated on @dewarists 2. “ kaho kya khayal hai “ I'm sharing my last conversation with her, which took place just a few days ago. We have an unfinished album that we were working on together. @zebbangash, sending you and your family a big hug. May God give you the strength to cope with this loss. Haniya, we will see you on the other side. Until then, your sweet voice and melodious guitar riffs will continue to play in our ears, reminding us of the terrible loss of losing you (sic)''.

Kiran Rao commented on his post with broken heart emojis and added, ''I can’t believe it. RIP, dearest Haniya.'' Roshan Abbas wrote, ''I’m so sorry to hear this. She was a gem. And ‘Kya Khayal hai’ remains a song that meant so much to me.'' ''This is shocking. Just spoke with her a couple of weeks back,'' wrote Ankur Tewari.

Haniya was one of the most talented Pakistani musicians. She and Zeb delivered some popular compositions as part of their band 'Zeb and Haniya'. They performed in 'Coke Studio' Pakistan on the song, 'Chal Diye'. In 2014, Haniya moved to Canada to pursue a solo career in music. Zeb and Haniya also collaborated for Indian films like 'Madras Cafe' and 'Highway'.
